In 2014, Chris embarked on a journey as an opening act for his unique live painting set, which began long before his live painting tour in 2010. Collaborating with well-known bands such as 311, Matisyahu, Nahko and MFTP, Papadosio, Rebelution, Slightly Stoopid, Sublime with Rome, and many more, Chris has honed his craft, performing for and with crowds at major festivals across the country. These festivals include Electric Forest, California Roots, Hulaween, Okeechobee, Camp Bisco, Resonance, and more.
THE ARTIST
Christopher Morphis is a visionary artist whose work challenges the status quo and inspires change. Raised in Houston, Texas, Chris discovered his passion for art through graffiti as a teenager and adopted the tag “Meeko,” which he still uses when signing his paintings today. He honed his craft over the years, mastering acrylic painting and developing a style characterized by intricate details and powerful messages.
Chris's artistic journey has been shaped by personal challenges, including the absence of a father figure, divorce, and addiction. However, he didn't let these obstacles define him. Through meditation, Chris found clarity and a new perspective on life, which he channels into his art.
Today, Chris's paintings tackle critical global issues such as consumerism, environmentalism, and political corruption. His thought-provoking creations encourage viewers to question their own beliefs and consider the impact of their actions on the world.
But Chris's impact extends beyond his artwork. Through Morphis Art, he has created a community dedicated to promoting mindfulness, creativity, and connection. He is committed to mentoring aspiring artists and empowering individuals to use their own creativity to effect change in the world!
